Virtual Environments are full scale simulations of the real world to provide qualitative research into consumer and shopper behaviour. 3D CGI environments include supermarkets, pharmacies, car showrooms, banks and any scenario you can imagine. 3D CGI models of products (cosmetics, alcohol, electronics, food, cars etc) are placed in the Virtual Environment and respondents use a VR headset and hand controllers to walk around and pick up items. We change shelf disposition, pack design, POS, beautification, product specs etc to test different purchase decisions and our proprietary mixed reality technology shows real-time video of first person and third person perspectives. Providing the right context, with the right stimulus, obtains richer data compared to traditional research techniques.
Virtual Journeys are 36o videos of real world locations which create immersive and contextual stimulus for qualitative research at quantitative scale. Our 360 film crew capture authentic footage of real places, from airports to shops to high streets. Using photorealistic CGI, we digitally alter physical assets in the 360 video to test different brand touchpoints, from POS to products to advertising copy. We created the industry's first VR panel to scale 360 video stimulus to a quant sample, with respondents using their mobile and a cardboard VR headset to immerse themselves in real world context. It's an award-winning approach which won Best Data Solution 2017 at the Market Research Society awards.
Augmented Products enable respondents to place 3D CGI versions of products in the real world so they can provide qualitative insight - at quantitative scale - into their preferences on NPD and pack design. It transforms the quality of research stimulus with products viewed in the right context e.g. a food product in the respondent's kitchen cupboard. We create 3D CGI models of products - from a shampoo bottle to a vacuum cleaner to a full scale car - for respondents to interact with (e.g. tap bottle to change colour or touch wing mirror to change design) and include survey questions to capture respondent feedback. Respondents simply download a mobile app so the panel is 'unlimited' and can be segmented into different cells.
Augmented Journeys allow respondents to use their smartphone camera to scan products, objects and images ('markers') in the real world. It links consumer and shopper journeys with in-the-moment research, with each 'marker' linked to a specific set of questions. Respondents interact with intuitive 2D and 3D animated surveys (using their smartphone touchscreen) to capture realtime responses and reactions to a range of brand touchpoints. Respondents simply download a mobile app, enter a unique Project ID and qual data is collected on a quant scale.
